Top Ten Tuesday Books from Olivia

OK, I’m getting the hang of this blogging thing.

I started following a YA book blog, Pure Imagination, and she posts with admirable regularity. Today, Tuesday, I got her latest book review preceded by the weekly Top Ten Tuesday, which has a theme each week (Top Ten Books Ever, Top Ten Romantic Reads—I’m making these up). This is sponsored, somehow, by another book blog, The Broke and the Bookish, which is run by a group of college-age book bloggers. Apparently, other book bloggers can contribute with their memes and linky links. If you know what a meme or linky is (a cutesy way of saying hyperlink?), you’re ahead of me, but I can put some vague idea together.

Even though I am an old lady by comparison to my esteemed book blogging colleagues, I’m inspired to contribute to this week’s Top Ten Tuesday: Spring Reading List. Sure, I am way, way, way behind on my work and no where near finishing the conversion to paperback of The Flower Bowl Spell! But, as Vonnegut  (remember him?) would put it, and so it goes…

Top Ten Tuesday Spring Reads:

Books Books Books

1. 1Q84 by Haruki Murakami. Finally getting this as a digital download from the library. Can’t wait to sink my teeth into it.

2. The Orphan Master’s Son by Adam Johnson. I once did a reading with Adam Johnson and he was just on NPR today, talking about his new novel. Sounds amazing.

3. The Devil’s Lover: The Wish by Dahlia Lu. I downloaded this during Read an E-book Week. Great cover!

4. The Binding by L. Filloon. Another juicy E-book Week find.

5. Touch of Fate by Christine Amsden. I think we’re friends on Book Blogs.

6. Stuck in Estrogen’s Funhouse by Shayna Gier. What a title!

7.  Hollowland by Amanda Hocking. This has been on my virtual shelf for a while. Time to crack it.

8.  What I Loved by Siri Hustvedt. Got it from my friend, and it’s literally by my bedside.

9. Nothing But the Truth by Justina Chen Headley. An Asian sister from another mister!

10. A Thirty-Something Girl by L.M. Stull. We are Goodreads friends. Can’t wait to read it!

What about you? What will you read this spring, fellow bloggers?
